Description:
Nitinol is a kind of nickel-titanium alloy with super elasticity and shape memory properties. Shape memory refers to the ability of NiTi alloy to deform at one temperature and then recover its original shape when heated above its transition temperature. Hyperelasticity occurs at a narrow temperature range, just above its transition temperature; in this case, the under formed shape can be restored without heating, and the material shows great elasticity, which is about 10-30 times that of ordinary metal.
