Preparation of titanium alloy molded parts and thin-walled profiles

Technical field

The present invention relates to the technical field of metal processing, and particularly relates to a method of preparing a titanium alloy molded part and a method of preparing a titanium alloy thin-walled profile.

Background technologies

L-profiles, U-profiles and square tube profiles are widely used because they can effectively reduce the weight of profiles while ensuring their strength. At present, the equipment and technology for producing carbon steel and aluminum profiles are relatively mature. Among them, the production mode of L and U profiles usually involves uncoiling, roll forming, heat treatment and cutting of strip coils on roll bending equipment, after which the corresponding products are obtained. There are two modes of production of square tube, one is to use the strip coil in the roll bending equipment for de-coiling, roll forming, welding, cleaning seams, heat treatment, cutting, to get the square tube; the other way is to form the round tube directly into a square tube. However, none of the above production modes need to be heated, and they are all cold working molding processes.

In recent years, in order to achieve the purpose of weight reduction, a new generation of airborne, amphibious, unmanned and other light armored vehicles, such as titanium and titanium alloy L-sections, U-sections and square tubes have an urgent need. However, titanium alloys with high yield strength and high cold working resistance are prone to cracking during processing and molding. If the existing forming equipment for producing carbon steel and aluminum profiles is used to produce titanium alloy profiles, it will lead to serious cracking at the corners of the profiles.

At present, the method of producing titanium alloy thin-walled L profiles and U profiles is mainly the plate bending method, specifically: the plate is heated in an atmospheric furnace, and then bent and formed with the help of a mold on a press. The problems of this method are: 1) the heating time is long, the surface of the plate is seriously oxidized, which brings trouble to the surface treatment; 2) the contact of the heated plate with the cold mold during the molding process will cause the temperature of the plate to drop sharply, which will lead to the low temperature during molding, and the profiles will crack; 3) the dimensional accuracy of the profiles (width, height, and R-angle), and the straightness is very poor. The production of titanium alloy thin-walled square tube method is mainly plate bending + welding method, mold drawing method, hot rolling and so on. Among them, plate bending + welding method can prepare titanium alloy square tube, but due to the presence of welded seams, so that the life of the tube is greatly reduced. Die drawing method due to titanium alloy deformation resistance, it is difficult to form through the larger deformation amount of drawing, usually need more than one drawing molding, production cycle is long, and the drawing process needs to be heated, which will lead to titanium alloy and mold is easy to produce bonding between the tube into the material rate is low. Chinese patent CN105903766A disclosed the use of hot rolling to directly prepare titanium alloy square tube, but the dimensional accuracy of the square tube is poor; Chinese patent CN110369548A disclosed the use of round titanium alloy pipe as a billet, the round tube is heated before the round tube to square tube molding, round tube to square tube before the heating leads to titanium alloy internal and external surfaces are severely oxidized, and the subsequent use of polishing treatment, the square polishing head can not be used in the square tube, the square polishing head can not be used in the square tube. The square polishing head cannot rotate inside the square tube, and the round polishing head cannot completely remove the oxidized skin on the inner surface of the square tube. Moreover, the heated tube will cause thermal damage to the molding rollers.

In summary, the current methods for preparing thin-walled profiles of titanium alloy have the problems of poor molding, difficult processing, and difficult surface treatment.

Invention content

In view of this, the present invention provides a method of preparing a titanium alloy molded part and a method of preparing a titanium alloy thin-walled profile. The method provided by the present invention can improve the formability of the titanium alloy thin-walled profile when preparing the titanium alloy molded part, and reduce the difficulty of processing and surface treatment thereof.

The present invention provides a method of preparing a titanium alloy formed part, comprising the following steps: a titanium alloy billet is roll-formed in multiple passes to obtain a formed part, and heating is performed during said multiple passes of roll-forming; said passes of roll-forming are from 7 to 13; said heating comprises: when the number of molding passes is an even number of passes N, then starting from the (N/2)th pass of the molding pass, and performing heating after molding of each pass; when the number of molding passes is an odd number of passes N, then performing heating after molding of each pass; when the number of molding passes is an odd number of passes N, then performing heating after molding of the titanium alloy is performed. heating; when the number of molding racks is an odd number M, then starting from the (M+1)/2nd rack of the molding racks, each rack is heated after molding. The present invention can effectively alleviate the degree of deformation of the titanium alloy billet during the molding process by setting the appropriate number of molding racks, and prevent the titanium alloy billet from cracking due to violent deformation. The present invention also heats the titanium alloy billet after each racking in the middle and rear sections of the molding equipment, and heats the titanium alloy billet during the large deformation in the middle and rear sections, which reduces the processing difficulty of the titanium alloy, further prevents the titanium alloy billet from cracking during the molding process, and improves the dimensional precision of the molded parts and the yield rate, and at the same time, because the heating device is set up only in the middle and rear sections of the molding process, there is no need to heat the billet at high temperatures before the billet is fed into the molding equipment, and the heating of the blank is reduced. The thermal damage of the high-temperature blank to all conveyed parts in the molding equipment is reduced, which is conducive to improving the life of the molding equipment.

The present invention also provides a method of preparing a titanium alloy thin-walled profile, which can be used to prepare a thin-walled profile with a wall thickness of ≤6mm by heat-treating, shaping, straightening and surface treatment of the molded parts in the above technical solution.
